History of Ballet Légere
Ballet Légere was founded in 1984 by Donna Vittorio to give aspiring dancers the opportunity to perform in a professional production. Ms. Vittorio endeavored to make the the arts accessible to children and audiences that may not otherwise have the opportunity to see a full scale Ballet. Since it's inception, Ballet Légere has performed it's annual production of "The Nutcracker" for over 100,000 school children. Added to that are the 70,000+ patrons that have attended weekend performances over the company's 39 year history. Boasting a cast of 120 dancers annually, Ballet Légere has an alumni base of over 5,000 dancers, actors, and performers of all ages.
